Chapter 29 - The Verdicts - A Fortnite Story

This is a fan-made Fortnite Battle Royale story in which I do not own any of the characters or anything used in the story. This is Chapter 29 of that story. If this is your first visit, I suggest starting at Chapter 1. Enjoy!

The Verdicts

Setting: Mansion South of Lonely Lodge (John Wick's Mansion)

          Gumshoe, Sleuth, and Noir were sitting in elevated seats in the hangar of John Wick's Mansion, awaiting the arrival of the arrested Scoundrel and Rapscallion. Facing them, closer to being inside, were Raptor, John Wick, Moonwalker, and Brite Bomber. After a few minutes, Havoc, Subcommander, and Elite Agent arrived with Scoundrel and Rapscallion. They all greeted each other and Scoundrel and Rapscallion were lead to stand in front of Gumshoe, Sleuth, and Noir.

           Gumshoe began, "Looking at the report, that contains multiple witnesses, it states that you, one, possessed illegal firearms, two, committed armed robbery by holding the cashier of the Lucky Cafe at gunpoint, and three, opened fire at Elite Civility Force members. Is that true?"

          Scoundrel quickly responded with a brisk, "No."

          Sleuth responded with, "We have Elite Agent's body camera footage that says two of those three are, and security camera footage that confirms the third."

          "It wasn't us. We were framed," Rapscallion responded.

          "That doesn't work here, but good try, seeing that you were brought directly from the crime scene," Noir retorted.

          "It's not fair! It is almost impossible to make a living on this island! Taxes are too high!" Rapscallion emotionally broke down.

          "If your occupation was an actual, legal, job, you would be fine. But that's not happening since you both are going to an offshore maximum security prison for 25 years," Gumshoe decided. Elite Agent signaled to Havoc and Subcommander to take them away, and to bring in Circuit Breaker and Cipher.

           About 5 minutes later, Havoc and Subcommander returned. Gumshoe read the report, and asked, "So what were your intentions with this meteor fragment?"

          "Conduct tests, figure out where it is from," Circuit Breaker responded.

          "That's what the E.C.F. was doing, but that doesn't explain the crystals in the meteor being inserted into a laser-like weapon," Noir said. Both sides went back and forth for a little while until Gumshoe made up her mind.

           "Considering that you possessed an illegal object, after stealing it from the government, attacked E.C.F. members, and had the intentions of mass destructions, the punishment of permanent exile has been decided," She stated.

           They were forced away and everyone returned to normal operations. While Raptor was at his desk, he received a message from Squad Leader, that said, "The meteor broke open and someone or something broke out of it!"

           He immediately said into his headset to Elite Agent, Havoc, and Subcommander, "Something broke out of the meteor at Dusty Divot!"

A: No, Raptor and Brite Bomber are married, however.

A: Being held captive by Black Knight at an unknown location.

A: Somewhere between $150 and $250

Q: Should I buy the Season 8 Battle Pass?
A: If you complete 13 Overtime Challenges, you can get it for free, but if you don't, it's up to you. If you like the skins, emotes, pickaxes, gliders, etc., buy it, if not, don't.
