Chapter 1 - The First Breaches - A Fortnite Story

This is a fan-made Fortnite Battle Royale story in which I do not own any of the characters or anything used in the story. This is Chapter One of that story. Hope you enjoy!

The First Breaches

Setting: Late Season One/Very Early Season Two | Pleasant Park 

          It was just another day in Pleasant Park, and nothing interesting has happened for two weeks, so the Aerial Assault Troopers (AAT) and Renegade Raiders (RR) stationed in Pleasant Park had let their guard down. The last thing that had happened was an attempted robbery of the gas station, which led to the arrest of Burnout, who was now in the prison at Moisty Mire. Pleasant Park was one of the largest towns, along with Retail Row and Greasy Grove, but not much went on their, similar to Salty Springs, except larger and held soccer matches every once in a while.

          Everyone knew each other in Pleasant Park, except for one house, the house that people assumed was abandoned, due to there being a tree fallen on the roof for as long as anybody could remember. There is just one thing, that house was no longer abandoned. One of the first two breaches had occurred in the basement. This breach brought through 15 Ghoul Troopers, carrying assault rifles. They were brought here to spread as much terror as possible.

          The second breach brought over 21 Skull Troopers in Tomato Town, also carrying assault rifles. These Skull Troopers were sent to stop the Ghoul Troopers. The AATs and RRs were unprepared for something like this and immediately had to call for backup from Anarchy Acres and Loot Lake. The Ghoul Troopers rushed out of the house spraying down anything that moved. 

           While this was happening, the AATs in Tomato Town detained the STs and were interrogating them when they received the distress signal from Pleasant Park. An RR came rushing into the room, "We have a code red! 15 Green people with rifles are shooting up Pleasant! All defenses are dead! We have to go now!"

          The captain responded, "We can't, the AATs and RRs in Loot and Anarchy probably have it under control, there's only 15 of..."

          "You don't understand we were sent here to stop them you have to let us go after them, they are highly trained like us, you won't be able to stop them without us. They are here to kill everything that moves." the lead ST, with purple bones on his suit instead of white.

          "Who sent them?" The RR asked, her voice shaking.

          "Red Knight, he terrorizes islands by opening breaches and sending soldiers through, similar to how we got here," The lead ST answered.

          "Who the hell sent you then?" The captain asked angrily.

          "Love Ranger, one of Red Knight's rivals." One of the other STs responded.

          "Fine go, but we're sending some RRs with you" The captain finally agreed. STs grabbed their weapons and huddled together, "Alright boys, LR only sent us with one rift-to-go," The Purple Skull Trooper pointed out three STs, "You three, take the mountains North and be our eyes, the rest of us, drop on houses, and all around them, don't kill all of them, save a few to get info about RK." PST shook the rift-to-go and they were teleported to the sky. 

          On the ground, RRs were sprinting full speed for Pleasant Park to put down the GTs, rifles in hand. Loot Lake RRs and Anarchy Acres RRs had built fortifications to hold the damages to Pleasant Park, but they weren't moving in further until the Tomato Town, Salty Springs, and Dusty Depot support arrived, along with the STs. Nearly all of Pleasant Park's residents were dead or hiding.

Breaches are basically temporary rifts that allow characters to be teleported onto the island and I know the rift-to-go was not in the game yet in Season 1, but I like them so I wanted them in the story. 

The plan is to have Chapters 1-5 be released today, but I don't know if all of them will make it out. Stay notified of when a new chapter is released by following me on Twitter.
