Chapter 20 - Post Meteor - A Fortnite Story

This is a fan-made Fortnite Battle Royale story in which I do not own any of the characters or anything used in the story. This is Chapter 20 of that story and it will introduce a majority of the Season 4 map changes. Enjoy!

Post Meteor
Setting: 2 weeks after meteor strike | Dusty Divot
It had been 2 weeks since the meteors struck across the map. The Elite Civility Force had already built up a small shelter to cover the meteor and protect it. In order to do this, the E.C.F. doubled its members. The new members were Trailblazer, Squad Leader, and Battlehawk. Dusty Depot no longer existed, and it was also no longer the central defense base. Now, they were relocated to the basement of John Wick's mansion south of Lonely Lodge. One fragment of the meteor had hit the prison, allowing Brite Gunner, Burnout, Circuit Breaker, and Rogue Agent to escape. Currently, the Elite Civility Force's main goal was to break open the meteor and discard the fragments.

"Well, Circuit Breaker, this is your new home. It's where I live, and work," Cipher said.
"I can't thank you two enough for letting me stay here and help you," Circuit Breaker responded.
"Thank you, I can always use the extra hands," Cipher answered.
"Well, what are we waiting for! What do we have for our first heist as a team?" Circuit Breaker asked. They had all went off on their own to figure out options for their first heist together.
"What about we go after one of those meteor fragments? One of them landed not far from here outside of Fatal Fields," Cipher said.
"I like that idea, let's get to planning," Circuit Breaker said as he pulled down the screen with a map of the island.
"It's already done. Only one person is guarding it. We go in at night. I take the high ground and spray down on him. We can knock him down, but we will not finish him. You will come in from the back, take the meteor fragment, and bring it back here. Got it?" Cipher explained. He nodded, "All right, see you at the orange bridge tonight," She said.
That night
"Alright, we ready?" Circuit Breaker asked. She nodded. Cipher began the walk to the top of the hill.
About two minutes later, Cipher said into the communication set, "In position, only one guard."
"Fire when ready," Circuit Breaker responded.
Battlehawk was completely clueless when assault rifle bullets rained down on him from two places, "Battlehawk to Raptor! Taking heavy fire at the Fatal site!"
"Sending support," Raptor responded through the headset. It wasn't going to get there fast enough.
"Guard is knocked, hold fire. We're getting the meteor," Circuit Breaker said into his headset. Cipher and Circuit Breaker moved in, picked up the heavy meteor chunk, and began to transport it back. "Mission successful," he said as they carried it off.
They were gone by the time Elite Agent and Havoc showed up to see the meteor gone and Battlehawk knocked down. "What happened?" Havoc asked as Elite Agent gave him a medkit.
"It was completely silent, and all of a sudden it felt like it was raining bullets. Someone was on the hill shooting down on me, and another was towards the river. They took the meteor fragment, I don't know who they were," Battlehawk said, having a mental breakdown.
"Sounds like it was organized. I'll tell Raptor we need to guard these with more people," Elite Agent said as she turned back towards Dusty Divot. She put the mic up to her mouth and asked, "Raptor, can we get the security camera footage from the orange bridge?"
"I'll do my best, but I'm sure we can," Raptor responded.
"Odds are they came from anywhere from B6 to E9," Havoc said, "Anywhere north of that they would've gone to the B4 strike. Anywhere east of that they would've come from a different angle."
"Elite Agent, it's Circuit Breaker and one other, a female with the same color scheme," Raptor said through the headset, "When they crossed the bridge, they headed north. Shift Shafts or Greasy Grove, I would guess."
"Great. Thank you, Raptor. We'll get them. Raptor, you can have the rest of the night off, go home and see Brite Bomber," Elite Agent said into her headset.
