Chapter 26 - A New Age - A Fortnite Story

This is a fan-made Fortnite Battle Royale story in which I do not own any of the characters or anything used in the story. This is Chapter 26 of that story and will introduce Omen, Fate, Vertex, and Criterion. Enjoy!

A New Age

Setting: Mid-Season 4 | Greasy Grove

          "Raptor! Send Carbide, Valor, and Steelsight! People are shooting! There's too many for me to take!" Subcommander yelled into his headset.

          "They're too far! They won't make it in time!" Raptor said back nervously. Omen and Fate were robbing and looting every house, the sporting goods store, and Durrr Burger. Assault rifle bullets were going back and forth between Fate and Subcommander, allowing Omen to take whatever he wanted. There was a loud boom, a bright flash, and Fate was wrapped up in rope. There was a guy in orange and a girl in blue standing over Fate. Subcommander stood up from behind the fence and stared at them shocked. 

          "How did you...? Who are you?" He said. They looked at him and sped off. 

          "Alright, I've tracked Omen. Let's get him!" Vertex said as they were running towards Durrr Burger.

          "Oracle, take me back" Omen said to the orb on his pickaxe. The orb started glowing and he disappeared.

           "Omen! Stop!" Criterion yelled as she and Vertex jumped down the stairs to see nothing.

          "Oh no! We forgot about the Oracle!" Vertex yelled.

          "Which means... Fate has the Ominous Orb and she's gone too..." Criterion said. 

          "Guys!" Subcommander yelled from the top of the steps, and they came to the bottom, "That girl is gone!" 

          "We know," Vertex responded. 

          "Hey, what's the problem? Who are you?" Carbide asked after finally making it to Greasy Grove.

          Criterion explained who they were and said, "We've been chasing Omen and Fate for as long as we can remember for their Oracle and Ominous Orb. They don't know the power that they hold with them in their possession and if they find out, the world will be ruined. We've been trying to get them from them for years."

          Carbide explained their team and their issue and who everyone was. 
That night at the house south of Snobby Shores on hill (Raptor and Brite Bomber's house)
          "Honey, we need to move. Greasy Grove isn't safe and we're too close," Brite Bomber said.
          "I don't know if we can afford it right now," Raptor responded.
          "What about your house in Retail Row?" Brite Bomber asked.
          "It's late, we can worry about it tomorrow," Raptor said.
          "No, the house in Retail Row is safer and it's much closer to work," Brite Bomber bugged him.
          "We'll worry about it tomorrow," Raptor responded.
          "We'll worry about it now!" Brite Bomber became heated.
          "Calm down, it's late," Raptor said calmly.
          "Fine, but I'm going to the house in Retail Row now and we're putting this house up for sale tomorrow," Brite Bomber said as she went into the bedroom to pack a bag.

I know this chapter was short, but I haven't written a chapter in a week or so and I was struggling for some reason. If you have any tips, please tell me them.
