Forza Horizon 4 Expansion 1 Revealed As Fortune Island

Forza Horizon 4 has been receiving new content every week since launch, and yesterday we received information on Expansion 1. In our first look at Expansion 1, we learned that Expansion 1 is Fortune Island, which is set to be released on December 13th. This is the largest expansion produced by Playground Games.

Within Fortune Island is some of the most extreme terrain ever seen in a racing game. It will feature large cliff-faces, deep ravines, and switchback roads. 2 new weather conditions will also be featured, thunder and lightning, and the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). We can also expect "treasure" to be scattered across the map, but we don't know what these contain at the time. 
Fortune Island takes players on an all-new adventure in the remote northern reaches of the British Isles, where they will encounter extreme conditions including fierce lightning storms, perilous cliff-side dirt roads, and sweeping paved mountain switchbacks under the mystical glow of the aurora borealis in search of hidden treasure. - Ben Thaker-Fell, Chief Designer of the Forza Horizon series

The geography of Fortune Island seems to take inspiration from islands surrounding Great Britain, and it is located north of the current map.

More information will be added once we get more. Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island releases on December 13th, and Ultimate Edition owners unlock it, along with Expansion 2, which is set to release in Spring 2019, at no additional cost.
